Our goal is to inspire students to become life-long sailors. We focus on safety, communication and team building. We offer learn-to-sail programs, racing & foiling.
CANCELLATION POLICY
Registrations must be cancelled on or before June 1st in order to receive a full refund (minus transaction fees). Cancellations made after June 1st will receive a $100 penalty.
HARBOR MICE
Harbor Mice introduces our youngest sailors to the joys of sailing on Bristol Harbor. Our main goal will be to build confidence on a boat while introducing basic elements of sailing in a safe and fun environment. Students will learn to sail with 2-4 peers and an instructor in our 15-foot Mercuries.

BEGINNERS
Perfect for kids with little to no sailing experience. Students will grow new friendships as they learn the fundamentals of sailing including key parts of a boat, points of sail, and good boat handling techniques. Students sail with friends in groups of 2 to 4 with an instructor. Each group sails on 15-foot Mercury keelboats designed by Sparkman & Stephens.

INTERMEDIATES
This class is recommended for students who have some sailing experience. Students get to sail in different types of boats, such as Open Skiff & Optimist single-handed dinghies, 420s, or 15-foot Mercury keel boats with friends. Instructors teach points of sail, parts of a boat, good seamanship, up-wind sailing, capsize recovery, tides, and weather. The Intermediate class builds the confidence and independence to become a great sailor for years to come.

ADVENTURE SAILING
This class is all about the enjoyment of sailing and is perfect for both first time and experienced sailors alike. Students will sail in groups of 3-5 on 22-foot Keel boats called J22s or try out multiple other options such as 420s (double handed dinghy), Lasers (single handed dinghy), Open Bic (single handed cruising dinghy), or even windsurfers!
Students focus on boat handling, working together, communication, team-building, navigation, and learning about long distance sailing. The adventures of sailing are endless and growing these experiences are what change our lives.
Ages: 12 - 17
Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM
2024 Tuition:
$1,400 for each 4 week session.
$800 for each 2 week session.
OPTI RACE TEAM
Our Opti race team is an 8-week commitment, and is comprised of both Opti Green and Championship fleet sailors. Opti Green is for the beginner racer who will learn how to make their boat go fast, racing strategies and tactics, and the racing rules of sailing.
A usual summer comprises of three 1-day regattas and the 3-day Junior Race Week towards the end of summer. For additional regatta information, visit nbya.org.

420/LASER RACE TEAM
NEW 2024: FOILING IS NOW INCLUDED IN RACE TEAM
Our 420/Laser Race Team is an 8-week commitment for experienced junior sailors. This class builds on an existing foundation of sailing and seamanship skills by adding on advanced boat handling, sail trim, and racing strategies.
Racers and parents should be prepared to travel to several events throughout the summer. A usual summer comprises of two 2-day regattas and the 3-day Junior Race Week towards the end of summer. For additional regatta information, visit nbya.org.
New this year, we are incorporating the foiling sailboats into this class. Sailors will have the opportunity to hone their foiling skills on our Skeetas and Nikkis.
